What cookies are and why we use them
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. It lets the site remember something about your visit, such as the dates you were checking for a room or the fact that you already closed a banner. Without them, the site would treat every page load as a first visit.
The Kruleni website at kruleni.com sets a small number of cookies. We use them to keep the site working, to understand which pages people actually read, and to remember your choices when you make them.
The cookies we set
Each cookie falls into one of three groups. Only the first group is required for the site to function.
- Strictly necessary: keeps your session open while you move between pages and remembers your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
- Analytics: counts visits and tells us which pages people spend time on. The data is aggregated and is not tied to your name.
- Preference: remembers small settings such as your language or the last suite grade you looked at, so you do not have to choose again on every visit.
We do not run advertising cookies and we do not pass cookie data to social networks or ad exchanges.
How long cookies stay
Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period, which is listed below.
- Your cookie choice is stored for twelve months, then you are asked again.
- Analytics cookies expire after thirteen months.
- Preference cookies expire after six months.
- Session cookies last only until the browser is closed.
Managing your choices
When you first visit kruleni.com, a banner lets you accept or decline optional cookies. Both choices work, and declining does not stop you booking a room. You can change your mind later by clearing the site data in your browser, which brings the banner back on your next visit.
Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking all of them will stop parts of the site from working, including the booking form, which needs a session cookie to hold your dates.
